The Maple Syrup Process
We believe there are three main ingredients when it comes to maple syrup production; gathering, boiling, and processing. From these
three steps we manufacture the highest quality maple products and deliver them straight to your kitchen!
During the Spring, before the sap runs we make sure that all of our equipment is ready to gather nature's natural sweetener. We
take the time to inspect our tubing systems, holding tanks and prepare to tap. Currently in our sugar bush, we have around 9,000
taps. It takes some time, but we go out there and get the job done. Once each tree is tapped, the tubing systems gather the sap
into holding tanks where we pick it up and take it back to our sugar house.
Once at the sugar house, the sap goes through multiple stages of pre-boiling, including using our reverse osmosis machine. Our
large, natural gas evaporator makes quick work of the boiling process and produces the finest quality maple syrup.
After the maple syrup has been produced, it is then taken and further processed into the full product line that we offer. From the
finest maple candy and sugar, to creams and fudge, we take pride in producing Pennsylvania's best maple products!
